Refunds & cancellations
How deposits, cancellations, and incomplete fieldwork are handled for professional engagements.

Scope
This policy applies to fixed-fee engagements for fixed asset reconciliation, depreciation schedule review, year-end asset support, and asset register cleanup. It does not cover goods, software licences, or subscription products—none of which we sell.
Deposits
A 40% deposit is due on signing the engagement letter to reserve calendar time. The deposit is credited toward the total fee.
Full refund eligibility
You may receive a full refund of amounts paid if we cancel the engagement for reasons solely within our control (for example, illness without a substitute) and no substantive work has started. Requests must be made in writing to hello@datanexgen.digital.
Partial refunds
If you cancel more than ten business days before the agreed start date, we refund the deposit minus an administrative charge of NT$3,000. If you cancel within ten business days of the start date, the deposit is non-refundable because fieldwork slots and travel plans are already committed.
If work has begun—data intake completed, desk procedures started, or site visits booked—fees for completed stages are due. Unused stages may be refunded proportionally after we issue a status memo.
Non-refundable items
- Travel and lodging already incurred at cost for agreed site visits.
- Third-party document retrieval fees paid on your behalf with prior approval.
- Completed workpapers and memos already delivered.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule once without charge if you give at least seven business days’ notice and a mutually available window exists within sixty days. Later or repeated reschedules may incur a NT$5,000 calendar change fee.
No-shows and delayed access
If plant escorts or data rooms are unavailable on an agreed observation day without twenty-four hours’ notice, that day may be billed as worked. We will propose a replacement date; additional travel may be billed at cost.
Work already started
Desk procedures and exception logging count as started work. Stopping mid-engagement entitles you to deliverables produced to date and a invoice for stages completed; remaining prepaid amounts for unfinished stages are refunded within fourteen business days after reconciliation of hours and expenses.
Refund process & timing
Email hello@datanexgen.digital with your engagement reference and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days. Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within fourteen business days of confirmation. Bank charges on international transfers, if any, are deducted only when imposed by intermediaries.
